AGV or AMR? An honest comparison
Suppliers use the terms interchangeably. The difference is how a robot finds its way, and that decides more than you might think.

A classic AGV follows a fixed route: magnetic tape, a wire or reflectors. Predictable and robust, but every layout change needs work on the floor. An AMR (autonomous mobile robot) navigates using lidar and cameras on its surroundings and plans its own route around obstacles.
In busy warehouses neither works perfectly. Free navigation leads to unpredictable travel times when dozens of robots cross each other. That's why our robots combine both: TileNav uses floor markers for millimetre precision and a reserved tile grid, and lidar SLAM for zones where markers aren't possible.
So the right question isn't 'AGV or AMR', but: how predictable must my throughput be, and how often does my layout change? That's where every flow scan starts.
