01
The challenge
Order volumes grew 35% a year, but finding temporary staff for peak got harder every season. Pickers walked 16 km per shift on average and error rates crept up during return peaks.
02
The solution
After a simulation in Leantile Twin we installed 120 robots in three phases, each over a weekend. Leantile Floor connects directly to the existing WMS. For peak the client rents 30 extra robots through Robots-as-a-Service.
03
The result
Pick rate per operator rose from 110 to 420 lines per hour. The first Black Friday with robots ran without backlog, with 40% fewer temporary staff than the year before.
“We installed the robots over three weekends without a single day of downtime. Our team now asks for the stations instead of the aisles.”
